Botoxed for whom?

When i look at myself in the mirror, i see this person that isn’t me, i see a replica of the me i imagine myself to be! A replica that is somehow less taut, less fresh and less vibrant!

After 40, women realize that everything is changing (hello!!), the law of gravity begins to play its role, and our cells seem less likely to regenerate on their own!

I am not saying i want to look younger, just maybe more fresh…I know a lot of women who had botox done, several times, and they look good, relaxed, definitely less wrinkled, but on the whole, they looked good.

I talked about it with some men friends, and most of them were against it; saying that being natural is the most attractive trait for a woman.

My argument was, women don’t do it for men, they do it to feel better about themselves, for their own satisfaction and well-being. They are not fighting the aging process, just making it more agreeable!

They weren’t convinced.

What do you think? Do women try to look young and fresh for men or for themselves?

Your opinion

We have heard it many times, women think they are always right, but do you honestly believe it?

Do you believe we are better judges of character, we are better at directions, we always give the right advice, we are always right about our children, we are always right about dimensions, we are always right about real estate, jobs………? What do you think ladies?

I for one, know that i haven’t always been right, don’t take me wrong, i would have loved to be right, just because i always want to! I think it’s a generalisation that happened through the years, from generation to generation, coming down to us from former matriarchs that were so strong, everyone was maybe scared to tell them they weren’t right!!

I don’t think anyone is always right, because no one’s perfect, and no one knows everything (my mom would disagree with that!). So, give me your opinion, do you think women are always right?

Man vs Woman

I stumbled on this yesterday, and i had to share it! Do you really think that a man has only one button to push while we have like a zillion? So they are simple and we’re complicated, is that it? Mmmm, something to ponder on, what do you think?

Equal sharing

Arguments about the working woman have been popping up a lot lately around me, about how women and men still cant reach the platform of equality they are striving to have.

I have lived in the east and in the west, and in both parts of the world we still see families with the old ‘pyramid’ stucture, where the man is the main provider and decision maker, and the other kind of family, the modern equal family where both, man and woman share all the loads, from financial, to chores, to driving kids to ballet classes, to cooking…

We are still struggling to find the right formula that would please both egos, because lets face it, women still get weird looks when they say they are stay at home moms; from fellow women!

It’s very hard to implement this equality in the middle east, the culture, the tradition, the religion, they all play a big role in facing this wave. True enough, a big chunk of women are working these days, but are they ready to give up the reigns of the home over to the man? Is the man ready?

Many couples who consider themselves modern and open minded, say they share all the decisions , they have wall calendars where each one writes down his or her duty, schedule, chores…but is it really working? Does the man feel overwhelmed? Does the woman feel more manly?

Will the wife come home one day and tell her husband;” by the way, I invited 6 people for dinner tomorrow, what will you cook?”….Makes you wonder huh?

But, it exists, and it works perfectly .

So why do women still carry this stigma?

women equal to men?

or equal sharing?
