What is it about a necklace that can make an outfit? You can wear a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, add a sparkling statement necklace, and there you go, an amazing outfit!

Since the holidays are near, and you didn’t choose yet a gift for yourself (yes, gift yourself!), have a look at these beauties from Elva FieldsĀ

Stained glass

What is it about stained glass doors that makes me happy? They are colorful, artistic, and makes you think of a different era…

This entry just kills me! The colors of the glass are gorgeous, the design is just beautiful. The bronze sculpture and the chandelier don’t hurt either! What can i say, perfection…

A darker mood, the complete opposite from the first picture, a different design, but still as dreamy…

What do you think, do you like stained glass?

A little architecture…

Just to set the record straight, i know nothing about architecture! But i do appreciate good design, specially when it brings the outdoor inside the house. These are two great examples:

At first glance i thought it was an aquarium, then i realized it’s a kind of Asian garden..You know, like the little ones where you rake the sand to reach harmony and zen like attitude? (i’m not an expert , but this is what i think!). I love how the light comes in the room…

Now this is amazing, it is like floating in nature, but still being at home! Wouldn’t mind having this at all!

Have a lovely Tuesday, xo..

Goodbye July!

Can you believe it’s the end of July already?! Where did the summer go?

Sorry for the lack of post yesterday, the internet was down , and had some mild family crisis to deal with (what’s new!), with 4 kids there is always something happening, i wake up everyday hoping that today will be drama free! I guess when you have kids it’s a farfetched wish!

Anyhow, are you watching the Olympics? I found (actually my daughter found them, i’m just stealing her tweet!) amazing illustrations of the games by visual designer Charis Tsevis..

Aren’t they just out of this world!?

This weekend i went on one of my walks in the city and found this beautiful graffiti

Don’t you just love the colors!

And ended my evening in a charming place in the old port

Wish that was my backyard!

Have a great week people, xo…

On my mind….

Ever since i first spotted theses writings on canvas i’ve been meaning to try my hand on some DIY! Mine would be filled with positive quotes…What about you, if you wanted to try your hand on something like this, what would you write? A song, poem,….?

Possessions…

I read lately that the things we collect in our homes are a reflection of who we are..Why do we collect things? And what kind of things do we keep around us? Is it just to make our home prettier and trendier or is it because we love to surround ourselves with things that have meaning to us? I believe it’s the latter, i believe that a home is the place where you truly are you, where each object is special, and put together they create the atmosphere each person wants to live in. A home is a collection of memories, and those memories are found in the things you collect..That’s why i decided that each week i am going to post a picture of an object in my home, something that has a meaning to me personally, that shows who i am…

These are two paintings i did 3 years ago (i don’t know how to paint, truly!), it was in a stage in my life where i needed to let out something, and originally they are supposed to be my 2 daughters (they look nothing like that!), i was thinking of them when i drew these paintings…I smile every time i pass in front of them, i smile because it always reminds me that i really don’t know how to draw, but i still do love them!

Do you collect things just for the sake of collecting, or does each item in your home suggest a story, a memory?
